ID3 Mapping Examples for the Media Ontology

This page contains examples of the mapping between ID3 metadata and the Ontology for Media Resources.

Those examples have been generated with the id32ma script (ID3 to MA). This script is written in Python and depends on Mutagen (for ID3 access) and RDFlib (for RDF generation). It is distributed under BSD license.

Example 1: bach.mp3

This example is a realistic set of metadata about a piece by J.S. Bach. Note that the MP3 file does not actually contain the audio material, which is copyrighted.

Example 2: complete.mp3

This example is an artificial set of metadata covering all the ID3 frames for which a mapping is defined by the Ontology for Media Resources.
