Climate change
Among other things, I'm concerned about climate change. As a
researcher in TCS, my main source of work-related carbon emission
is traveling to conferences. I try to reduce my travel emissions, and
to advocate for a more carbon-efficient publication system.
In particular:
- I've been Environmental chair of DISC 2022, with
Tijn de Vos.
At that occasion, we wrote a report on carbon emissions of PODC and
DISC, which later was turned into
column in SIGACT News.
- I signed the
TCS for Future manifesto.
- I'm part of the Environment task force of my lab.
- I get involved in the organization of local or online
events, and in online discussions.
