DNA
Modelling the details of complex natural scenes and the interactions within them.

DNA addressed the modelling of details in natural scenes. Its objectives were to handle the complexity and the diversity of objects that interact both with each other and with their environment, a difficulty that grows quickly as a scene gains in richness.
The project defined a process shared by its partners for modelling, simulating and interacting with complex natural scenes. It ran alongside the PhD work of Adrien Peytavie and led to three papers in international rank-A journals.
